Diabetes Tracker privacy policy

This policy explains how the Diabetes Tracker app ("the app") by Alvisca Technology handles your information. Your health information is sensitive, and we treat it that way.

Information we collect

Account information

Your email address and sign-in details, used to create your account and keep you signed in.

Health and food information you enter

Meals, food history, glycemic load results, medication names and reminder times, and any other values you choose to record.

AI nutrition lookups

When you use an AI nutrition lookup, the food description you type is sent through our secure server to an AI service provider (Anthropic) to estimate nutrition values. We do not send your name or email with the lookup.

Purchases

If you buy Premium, Google Play handles the payment. We receive confirmation of your subscription status, not your card details.

App lock

Fingerprint and face unlock are handled by your phone's operating system. The app never receives or stores your biometric data.

How we use your information

• To provide the app's features, such as saving your logs and sending reminders.
• To process AI nutrition lookups you request.
• To manage your free or Premium access.
• To keep the app secure and fix problems.

We do not sell your data, and we do not use your health information for advertising.

Where your data is stored

Your data is stored using Google Firebase services, operated by Google. Data is protected in transit with encryption.

Sharing

We share data only with the service providers needed to run the app — Google (Firebase and Google Play) and Anthropic (AI nutrition lookups) — or when required by law.

Keeping and deleting your data

We keep your data while your account is active. You can ask us to delete your account and data at any time on our account deletion page. We complete deletion within 30 days.

Medical disclaimer

The app is a record-keeping tool. It is not a medical device and does not provide medical advice, diagnosis or treatment. Always follow your doctor's advice.

Children

The app is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy. We will change the date at the top and, for important changes, tell you in the app.
